Reverse-search Instagram ad products on AliExpress to find them 1/10 the price

Shaan's most-viral tweet: when you see a product in an Instagram ad, search the same item (or do an image search) on AliExpress, where it's usually the same dropshipped good at a fraction of the price - a $40-50 posture brace was $1.80.

“And then I just go to AliExpress and I just type the same exact thing in, or I could do an image search, and you can find the same item. So the brace was selling for like, whatever, $40, $50, and I found it for like $1.80 on AliExpress.”

Most D2C ad products are just dropshipped AliExpress goods at 10x markup

Shaan explains AliExpress lets you buy single units of factory goods that retail for $35-55 in the US for around $3, and that most D2C brands you see advertised are simply dropshipping those same items - so go straight to the source at 1/10 the price.

“So AliExpress is kind of amazing because you go in for like $3, you'll be buying items that like cost $35 or $55 when you buy them in the US. And so anyways, the hack is if you see an ad, you know, some D2C brand, how big— they're probably just dropshipping from AliExpress and you can just go straight to AliExpress and get it at 1/10 the price.”
