Elan Lee: the grown-up kid behind Exploding Kittens and the first Xbox

Elan Lee co-created Exploding Kittens and, per Shaan, has made about 7 of the 10 top-selling games in Target's games aisle. He designed Microsoft's first Xbox prototype, keeps a fossilized dinosaur egg that guests must kiss to sign his guestbook, and carries a blank card deck to invent and test games on friends on the spot.

“And I go up to his office and his office is like a kid's toy store. Not only does it have all his games, but then there's like these insane Lego things that he's building and he's wiring LED lights into them. And he's like this unbelievable construction, like He's like a kid, right? He's just still doing the shit he loved as a kid. He's still doing it now. He had a dinosaur egg, like an actual dinosaur egg, a fossilized dinosaur egg. And he's like, if you kiss it or lick it, you get to sign the book.”
