Sam outsourced a semester of college using cheap LSU online courses

For the YC 'systems you've hacked' question, Sam describes exploiting his school's undefined 'summer' rule to take cheap $400-600 online LSU courses (vs ~$10k equivalents), then hiring someone overseas to do the coursework for about $50.

“And so I signed up for $20 through LSU and it was all online and you could sign up for these bullshit classes. And then I hired an Indian to do it for like $50, like so cheap. You just wrote these crap essays and then a TA like graded it. And so I— a whole semester of school was just that way.”
