Bring a United Hatzalah-style volunteer first-responder network to the US
Mark says the Israeli model of nearby trained volunteers who respond before the ambulance arrives could work in nearly every American city and even rural areas. “But he's like, this 100% could work in virtually every city in America. And he was like, it could even work in rural areas. He's like, uh, in rural areas they have volunteer firefighters. But it was really fascinating to hear all about this stuff. Because I think that, you know, we talk about money and for-profit stuff, but if you are like a social entrepreneur or something like that, this is a really interesting opportunity.”
Steal thisPilot a nonprofit neighborhood first-responder network in one US city: train volunteers in CPR and the Heimlich and dispatch the nearest one by app.
