Sprig bet on ovens-in-the-car in 2014 and was just too early

Sam recalls his friend Gagan's startup Sprig, which raised $60M around 2014 on the vision of baking food inside delivery vehicles. Sam thinks Gagan was right about the future of food delivery (cars with ovens), just years too early, illustrating Shaan's 'clear view, not short distance' point.

“Which, by the way, when our friend Gagan— our friend Gagan launched this company called Sprig, I think it was only in San Francisco, or maybe San Francisco and Chicago, and he raised $60 million, all this money. He launched it early though, 2014, and that was what he goes— he goes, I want to have ovens in the car, that's the future. And I actually think he was right. I just think that it was a little early.”
